We choose to manufacture our products in the United Kingdom because the key personnel in the company have considerable experience working for, and with British manufacturing companies.

My background has been primarily within the textile industry, an industry that is almost extinct now in the UK in terms of manufacturing. I experienced a gradual progression through numerous British and European textile companies, initially working on the factory floor as an Industrial Engineer, before switching onto the commercial side of the industry. I have had considerable experience squeezing as much as possible out of small marketing budgets, which has proved a very good training for starting up my own business.

My business partner, Alain Dilworth, has worked in a variety of different industries, from oil exploration to manufacturing tin cans! Before being foolish enough to start tangerinetulips with me, Alain was Operations Director of a large kitchen retailer.

I hope you like the pods and how we are trying to question how furniture is manufactured and how it interacts with our ever-hectic lifestyles!
